Satella might be Subaru daughter in the future. I mean, her name Satella = Subaru + Emilia
I finished watching season 2 and wanted to share my opinion. In my opinion, the theory that Satella = Emilia, who traveled back in time, is one of the most logical (attention, closed causal paradoxes). Emilia traveled from an unspecified future after meeting Subaru, became a Witch and went insane, but she didn't forget about the strange guy and arranged everything so that Emilia could meet him in the future. This leads to some interesting conclusions: 1. Subaru is bound by causality and can only perform actions that follow Satella's plan from 400 years ago, so it makes sense that he should do things that lead Emilia to the royal throne, which results in the incident that sends Emilia back in time and turns her into Satella. 2. Emilia's (Satella's) story is looped and doomed from the very beginning to such a final outcome that can't help but cause sadness. 3. If Subaru had decided to simply leave, as he wanted to do with Rem, it's quite possible that the point of rebirth would not shift, and as a result, immediately after his death at an old age surrounded by children and grandchildren, for example, he would find himself on a market in Lugnica 60 years ago. Quite a prospect. 4. This follows from the fact that the number of his deaths, as Echidna said, can be unlimited. 5. Even worse, if in such a case the point of rebirth shifted, and he returned to the morning of his death from old age, unable to do anything and it would be REALLY ETERNAL. 6. If the romantic line with Emilia literally consists of "royals in the bushes" and follows Satella's plan (which can't be any other way!), then the romantic line with Rem, in my opinion, is a manifestation of Subaru's free will and choice. Figuratively speaking, Subaru and Emilia are protagonists whose fate and causality have PRESCRIBED them to be together, whereas Rem is a side character with whom these categories don't work. Also, I believe that the world in Re:Zero is a simulation, because in the "real" world, even with the help of magic, erasing a person from history and the memory of all people, reversing time, rewriting events, and reversing cause and effect in a snap of your fingers is simply impossible. However, a similar motion can be accomplished in a world that resembles a file system. Just delete the file directory pointer and nobody will remember it anymore, approximately like that.
I recently finished the first season of Re: Zero and it's safe to say I love it.
I'll start with that, the things I love.
I love how brutal it is every time Subaru dies, and I love how his deaths are always taken seriously despite the fact that he'll just respawn, and I absolutely love how much every one of his deaths MESS him UP, because obviously! Dying isn't something you can just walk off, ever since he was transported to this world, it's been buckets upon buckets of trauma, and the show displays all that and the struggles Subaru goes through SO perfectly, I love it!
I wasn't expecting to like Subaru as much as I did, but I got really invested in him as the show progressed, he's very likable and his growth throughout the first season was really well done.
I freaking love the mansion arc, I freaking love Rem (I think everyone does, in fact), and for good reason, I love the first time he dies, and it's just so confusing and upsetting, it was such a great moment! There are so many twists and turns all throughout the mansion, or at least, that's what I would say if I hadn't predicted BOTH times who the perpetrator was! first I guessed Rem, and then Rem freaking brutally killed Subaru and it was a really upsetting but amazing scene, and then when Subaru's trying to figure out who cursed him, I was spot on with the dog, they just gave the dog way too much attention for it not to be important! My predicting these things only improved the experience, it was so much fun, man.
I don't think I need to explain why I love Rem, do I?
Oh, I also love Beatrice and Roswaal, I still don't really know how to feel about Ram.
My biggest issue with this anime so far is Emilia, I just don't care about her at all, she is easily the weakest character in the show, she's usually just the damsel in distress and it could not be more boring. My lack of investment in her is a pretty big issue I'd say since she's... y'know... the romantic interest and one of the people trying to become the ruler or whatever? I'm all for romantic sub-plots, I think they can be really fun, I think they can bring a lot of good stuff to a story, I think they can help really explore 2 characters, the 2 characters maybe grow stronger together, or maybe it doesn't work out in the end, who really knows? It's very tricky getting a romantic sub-plot just right, and it is quite easy for one to fall flat, for me, the romance between Subaru and Emilia is very much so falling flat at the moment, I kinda just wish Rem was the romantic interest for Subaru since I'm extremely invested in both her and Subaru already so...
Is rezero anime ended with season 2 or there is more for it?
Whose body lying in coffin after Emilia clearing her 3rd Trial.?
as we know Emilia doesn't recognize that body..
So I was re:watching re:zero today and then that talk between Subaru/good-Satella happened.
As she listed everything that Subaru did for her, I realized that it is only possible for him to do all that if he never died and we all know they won't spend a single day together without him dying at Elsa's hands.
My theory is that during their first meeting ever Emilia#0 did the same thing as present Emilia and introduced herself to Subaru as Satella, then they went on merrily adventuring together but with a twist: No one wanted to kill them.
We already know that all the trials Subaru had to go through up to that point were orchestrated by Roswall under the guidance of Echidona, so I thought to myself: What if that's exactly what happened the first time around, they adventured together and all that good stuff... Then, at some point and for reasons I can't figure out Echidona decided to screw them over, she altered the past, causing Subaru to die and Emilia decided to take the Envy witch factor so that she could save him effectively becoming the first Satella, screwing up Echidona's plans and that's the real reason why she hates Emilia so much.
How come Satella exists in the past then? That's the power of her authority. She exists in the past, present and future.
As to how Echidona altered the past, I'm assuming she can write Roswall's gospel from the future.
What do you think? Help me improve this theory and fill the gaps
I've seen memes of rumors saying Emilia pads her chest. this is kinda niche but, i need to know whether its just a joke or fr. (its def a joke but, these kind of questions make me question my life)
So you see, we know there is a Rem IF story, a Petra IF (idk, some people said it exists), but why no Emilia IF? you see, the main story is Emilia IF
I feel so smart yet so dumb
Just saw some guy saying about how Rem decided to use a truth drug for Subaru and I decided to find the source of that. Turns out, it isn't some rambling but rather something that actually happened in the Re:Zero Extra Chapter: King.
Check the story out from the link here: ReZero Extra Chapter: King - Google Docs
Anyways, Rem actually used a fruit called Fannel fruit and it's basically a fruit that will make you tell the truth. She made turned the fruit into powder and put it into Subaru's tea but luckily, she got the wrong person and Emilia took the bullet instead. I wonder what is she trying to get from Subaru drinking the tea.. Not to mention, the tea also makes you drowsy and ultimately fall asleep.
The WN of arc 2's chapter 3
He was about to get changed as quickly as he could, but then suddenly realized something. "Speaking of which... were you the one who changed me into these clothes?"
(Subaru was asking the twins if they were the one who changed his clothes after they teased him for being a pervert.)
"It was me, Ram and Rem were out, and since I was patching you up anyways, it only seemed natural to do it. Oh, and I gave you a quick but thorough wipe down too." Emilia said, as if it was the most natural thing in the world to do." Emilia said, as if it was the most natural thing in the world to do.
Uhm, Jesus Christ.
For the LN, the part of Subaru asking about the whereabouts of his original clothing and who changed it was completely cut. But that still doesn't change the fact that for the LN, it's likely Emilia that is the one who changed his clothing. :OOOO What's your thought about this, guys?
