Information |
Carillon (カリヨン) was Balleroy Temeglyph's flying dragon who died alongside its master during the events of Ex 4.
In Arc 7 and Arc 8, Carillon and Balleroy both appeared as zombies during the Great Disaster. Despite being an antagonist alongside Balleroy, it still gave up its undead life alongside its master by flying the unstable core of Moguro Hagane into the sky, where it was caught in the explosion.
Appearance[]
Carillon was a flying dragon with golden eyes.
Personality[]
Carillon was a companion and friend to Balleroy for its whole life. The duo had strong coordination, and their souls were bound to one another.
History[]
Ever since it was in an egg, Carillon was cared for by Balleroy. When it hatched, Balleroy thought up its name together with Miles and Flop O'Connell.[1] As proof of their bond with Balleroy, Flop and his sister Medium were given Carillon's old fangs when it grew new ones. Balleroy eventually shared his Od with Carillon,[2] became a dragon rider, and it grew to be his beloved partner.
When Balleroy conspired with Gramdart Holstoy and the Insect Cage Clan in a rebellion, he and Carillon worked together to attack Vincent Vollachia. However, it was knocked out of the sky by Julius Juukulius's Al Clauseria, which gave it a fatal injury. Before Carillon's death, Balleroy comforted it in its last moments by patting its nose, and he asked it to tell Miles to wait for him.
Trivia[]
- Despite appearing purple in official illustrations, Carillon has been described as having two distinct colors. It was said to be green in Ex Volume 4[3] and dark in Arc 8.[4]
