Conwood Melahau (コンウッド・メラハウ) is a former deputy commander of the Royal Guard and a friend of Wilhelm van Astrea from his younger days.

History[]
Conwood was part of the Zergev Squadron in the midst of the Demi-Human War, later becoming the advisor to Wilhelm van Astrea when he took over the role of commander from Bordeaux Zergev. They and the rest of the Zergev Squadron participated in the hunt for a Sand Earthworm and the Subjugation of the Blight Dragon. After these incidents, the Zergev Squadron was invited to join the Royal Guard, and Grimm Fauzen resigned from his position as the squadron's deputy commander to marry Carol Remendis. Wilhelm became the new commander of the Royal Guard, and Conwood was selected to take Grimm's place, making him the deputy commander.
At some point after the Great Conquest ended in failure, Conwood retired from the Royal Guard due to injury. He left with a positive reputation among the knights. He started up a tavern, Silver Shield, in the Royal Capital's Commercial District. As a result of Conwood's positive reputation, he attracted a lot of knights to his tavern, which had the side effect of making normal customers shy away from it, much to his own lament.

- Conwood was originally unnamed in Ex 2.
- The one who returned the Dragon Sword Reid back to the Astreas after the Great Conquest was Conwood.[1]
