The Dragon Pendant, as worn by Melty.
The Divine Dragon Church (神龍教会, Shinryū Kyōkai) is a religion within the Dragon Kingdom of Lugunica. The church worships its namesake, the Divine Dragon, Volcanica.
Information[]
The Divine Dragon Church holds a strong faith in the blessings of Volcanica's power and its protective covenant with the Kingdom.[1] Naturally, the Church wishes to ensure that Lugunica is protected, and claims to strive for the happiness of the country's people.[2]
The exact organizational structure of the Divine Dragon Church is unclear. There are nuns and guards amongst its membership. According to Marcos Gildark, the Divine Dragon Church is also in possession of magic and techniques that are not publicly known.[3]
There is an unspoken understanding in the Divine Dragon Church that its influence should be kept away from Lugunica's national politics. For this reason, the Church has avoided visiting and speaking in the Royal Castle and refrained from interfering with the Royal Selection.[4][5] However, as a result of the disaster wrought by the Witch Cult during the Battle for Priestella, the Church has decided to change its approach in order to provide relief to the Watergate City's citizens.[5][6]
