Anastasia Camp[]
Ricardo Welkin[]
As fellow wolf humans, Ricardo and Halibel came from the same hidden village. The two had a rather friendly relationship. However, when Ricardo decided to leave the village, he entered a contract that restricted him from claiming to be a wolf man, and the consequence for breaking the contract was for Halibel to claim his life. Ultimately, the contract was broken, and though Halibel felt saddened, he felt that Ricardo shouldn’t have broke his promise. Fortunately for the both of them, a young Anastasia managed to prevent his life from being taken, and they remained on friendly terms.
Anastasia Hoshin[]
When Halibel was coming for Ricardo’s life, Anastasia was the one who stepped in to protect him, managing to pacify Halibel. Ever since, the two have been on friendly terms, and Anastasia is even willing to fork out the cash to pay for his services if need be. On top of that, Halibel has a habit of teasing Anastasia, often resulting in her breaking character and scolding Halibel, as seen in Arc 8. It should be noted that he does find himself concerned with her safety, as seen when he recognized Subaru’s foresight and said to himself that Anastasia would need to watch out for him.
Julius Juukulius[]
The two first met when Anastasia decided to traverse through Kararagi to Vollachia to retrieve Subaru. Halibel managed to quickly befriend Julius, and as they worked together for a time, he even told Julius a little of his past with Ricardo.
Emilia Camp[]
Natsuki Subaru[]
Though he has only met him in his infantilized version, Halibel and Subaru were able to get along rather easily. Throughout the events of Arc 8, when Anastasia had asked him to follow Subaru’s orders as much as possible, he found himself impressed with Subaru’s foresight and tactics, at one point even questioning if he knew how Halibel would feel while handling one of his opponents.
Imperial Family[]
Eugard Vollachia[]
They initially met as enemies during the Great Disaster, with Eugard being in an undead state. Due to his history with wolf humans, it was shown very quickly that Eugard did not think highly of Halibel, and Halibel couldn’t help but wonder what his ancestors did to the man for him to hate them so. That said, Halibel had no problem with Eugard, and when he realized how the Curse of Thorns worked and that it didn’t affect him, Halibel was left with mixed emotions. Thanks to his skills in combat, he often impressed the Emperor of Thorns, allowing him to feel the ecstasy of combat for the first time before or after his death. Eventually, Halibel managed to remove the influence of Sphinx from him while simultaneously gaining the great respect of his opponent, as seen by the curse finally taking effect on the Admirer. Shortly after, the two worked on the same side.
Nine Divine Generals[]
Cecilus Segmunt[]
Due to his origin as a wolf human, Cecilus has once attempted to come for Halibel’s life. Ultimately, he failed and returned to Vollachia. When they encountered each other in Arc 8, the two were easily able to fight side by side with no concern for the past.
Groovy Gumlet[]
Halibel met Groovy when he saved his life from the undead Eugard. Groovy was instantly able to recognize the Admirer, and the two were able to work together to identify the intricacies of their opponent’s curse and even bring him down. Halibel does not seem to mind Groovy’s constant cursing.
