Hiain Yatz (ヒアイン・ヤッツ) is a former gladiator at the Gladiator Island Ginunhive and a member of Subaru's Unit during the latter's stay on the island who later joined the Pleiades Battalion. He made his debut in Arc 7.
Appearance[]
Hiain is a green lizard human who has blue eyes, long nails, and a tail. He wears a dark yellow cloak attached in place by a belt.
Personality[]
Hiain is loud, impulsive, easily frightened, and a short-tempered sweet-talker. He is a scaredy-cat quick to express fear or rage when put in an unfavorable situation, which causes him to create his own problems. Hiain once participated in a fight and ran away to escape the consequences, and his impulsiveness caused his friends to abandon him for their own safety. He later convinced himself that they were cowards in spite of knowing that it was in his nature to take advantage of people and attempted to justify himself regardless. Although he often runs away when put into trouble to save himself, there are some cases where Hiain will attempt to help others.
Abilities[]
Camouflage: As a lizard human, Hiain has the ability to change the color of his scales and appear as if he blends in with his surroundings. Hiain's ability to remain camouflaged is reliant on staying motionless. However, due to his nature, he tends to get frightened and move out of fear.

- Hiain's name is likely based on the German word "eins", meaning "one".
