Jawsrough (ジョズロ) is a former gladiator at the Gladiator Island Ginunhive. He later became a member of the Pleiades Battalion.
Appearance[]
Jawsrough is a man with dark skin, thick lips, ashen brown hair, and a single left eye. His right eye is covered by a white scar, and behind the closed eyelid is an artificial prosthetic eye made of wood. However, his replacement eye does not substitute for the eyeball he lost.
Personality[]
Jawsrough had an infamous celebrity-like reputation at Ginunhive as a “lone-wolf”. He disagreed with the notion of the Gladiator Island being a utopia for savages where physical strength is esteemed, a conception he believed many people possessed. His reputation was not simply because he did not associate with others. Instead of following the established order of trusting other people in a Unit with his life, Jawsrough discarded any gladiator he viewed as a despicable criminal and felt at ease with cutting one down if they were not worth looking out for. Nevertheless, under the surface of Jawsrough's outward cynical attitude, he holds intense expectations for other people regardless of their age or appearance.
History[]
Before being sent to Ginunhive for unknown reasons, Jawsrough was a mason. There, he become known as a lone-wolf for his mentality and actions. At an unknown time in the future, Subaru arrived at the Gladiator Island, and Jawsrough was the last person who he convinced to become his comrade. In order to help Subaru compete against Gustav, Jawsrough used his skills as a mason by creating a board and pieces for the game of Reversi that the two used for their Sparka match.
