Hi, I don't know if you know me, but I'm Angelo Gabrini (I think you might know me from the DanMachi Wiki). Since you've been inactive for quite a while, I took the liberty of putting up an adoption request for this wiki (you can see my blog here, sounds like a resume). I'd be more than happy to take this wiki off your hands if you're busy, but if you were planning on becoming active then I'd like to request admin rights (and possibly bureaucrat rights as well). I was just wondering since you never seem to be around and the wiki was practically basic until Matt Hadick redesigned certain parts. Anyways, nice meeting you and hope to get an answer soon
I like your optimism and desire to make things better, but you're pretty bold.. And I have never heard of you. I'm trying to get caught on some anime. I will be more active since I got onto the anime. If you've seen my other wikis, you would know how active I am. Therefore, adoption won't be necessary or optional. If you have anything to say, you can always find me. I come around every once in a while. My computer had some mouse problems and minor virus issues. They're not fully fixed, but it's manageable. The mouse is pain in the ass to use, though. Have a good day. You're an admin. I'll think about bureaucrat rights.
That's perfectly fine, it's not like I wanted you to recognize me or anything, just wanted to know if you've seen me somewhere. I have seen some of your wikis (such as Inou Battle) but to be honest I wouldn't really call it "active", though I'm sure we have different definitions about the word
Do you have rules or anything you had in mind about stuff like that? If you didn't I'll go ahead and write something up. I want to make sure about stuff like this before I go and edit since I don't want any trouble later. I'm also thinking of changing the background and modifying the main page unless you like Matt Hadick's edits
Looking around on other wikis you seem like a friendly guy so I hope we can get along better
I'm not active on Inou Battle as the anime ended and I don't really read light novels, because I can't speak Japanese (I can read to a decent level or speak). And I hate to say it, but not that fast of a reader and can get bored simply reading unless I'm kept interested. If you can speak/read Japanese like you said, then that's pretty convenient for translating stuff and information from the light novels.
Rules? I hate trolls or people who go edit/cut random crap or stuff from pages. But if you have any rules you want to discuss to put, we can talk about it. If we have anything better than our current state, then yes, we should improve edits, background, etc. You raised my awareness, so I'll be active more often (I don't mean time-wise like how much I spent here). Thank you for that. To become a bureaucrat, I have to be able to trust you or gain your trust and be on good terms. Nothing difficult to do. It's 12 am here, so I'll discuss other matters after come back from school or during morning. Good night~
Yeah, I always try to get my info from Japanese sites as in my opinion they're the most reliable sources due to translate mistakes and stuff like that. I would've already started writing some summaries but I can't find any files online for them except for epubs that I don't have any experience with
I'll go ahead and edit stuff and you can tell me what you think in the morning/after you come back from school
Edit: Oh great, just when I want to start editing wikia announces that editing will be unavailable for two hours. Just great
Edit Summary (for now):
Updated Main Page
Updated CSS to make sure Navboxes show properly and color username (I'll do yours too if you want). Coloring my username makes it easier to differentiate between mine and other users' edits in case I miss something while I'm editing
Replaced around 100 LN files with better quality ones (still not finished with all of them, taking a break for now)
Replaced Opening/Ending Theme covers with better quality ones
Added a new Image Gallery
About trivia, I don't really think it's necessary to add every little thing, such as Beatrice's trivia and Wilhelm's trivia. I don't like name trivia unless it's actually relevant and for Wilhelm's trivia I would say that they're similar but I wouldn't say that they're identical
I might get a little busier since the translation group asked me to take over the main manga in addition to the spinoff for DanMachi. It shouldn't affect my editing that much but I thought I'd notify you
Just for DanMachi. They offered me the position and I accepted since their former translations were terrible. The same group translates the Re:Zero manga so I'm a bit iffy about the English translation for that
Would you tell me that you're going to use my templates before you do? I'm not annoyed but I would appreciate it if I was told first
By the way, you mentioned earlier, "To become a bureaucrat, I have to be able to trust you or gain your trust and be on good terms". I know it hasn't been that long since then but I would think I qualify. If not then I'll just wait longer
I'll tell you. I'm using your templates and can add that source if you'd like or prefer. I would allow you or anyone to use my templates, too (I don't have any specific templates I use on my wikis). I use different templates for almost all my wikis or reuse the ones from the last wiki created/added on. Yes, I believe you are qualified to be a bureaucrat. I do trust you (you're the only person I had a long thread with, after all) and would leave things in your hands when necessary. ;D I'm not gonna make you wait longer or anything, and thank you for all your support and efforts.

I've never given anyone bureaucrat rights, because they simply never asked for it and just wanted admin rights, so it startled me when you were the first person to mention and actually ask. Well, you got it! :D
1. Yes. Anything too excessive should be removed and kept clean.
2. Yah, what's up? Mabeast is from a Kissanime translation and Moby Dick is also a translation.
Yah, I'm good with romaji stuff as I've been doing for couple of years now. It's so just people know the Japanese reading rather than searching up. I'm pretty good at fixing or looking over grammar and sentence structures, etc. It's my main skill as a wiki contributor.
2 The "Mabeast" translation is ridiculous, you can't just translate half a word and leave the other half as is, it should either be kept as Majuu or fully translated as Demon Beast
As for "Moby Dick", I assume this is a fan translation since it hasn't been covered in official translations. Moby Dick's Japanese title is Hakugei, however you can't reverse that and translate Hakugei as Moby Dick since Moby Dick is the name of a whale, not every white whale
To be honest I don't really see what the problem was with using double vowels (like aa), it's technically the same thing. I'm not going to protest the change since I don't really care to do so
I hope this message finds you well. My name Matt and I'm a community development representative with Wikia. Thanks for all of your help with the wiki. I am going to make a few changes to the main page to make it more interesting and readable. If you take issue with any of these changes, please let me know and we can revert!
