Razak Gildark (ラザック・ギルダーク) was a knight of the Royal Army and the father of Marcos Gildark. He was an army instructor who served as a rearguard in the Demi-Human War, and he was later among the knights who participated in the Subjugation of the Blight Dragon. He died in Picoutatte while protecting Rickert Hoffman.
Appearance[]
Like his son, Razak had light green hair and a chiseled face.
Personality[]
Razak was a man known for his severity as an instructor. This being said, he was also a man who cared for his friends and country, and being unable to fight alongside those very people hurt him. Like many other soldiers, Razak held contempt for demi-humans for having started and further embroiled the country in war.
History[]
Sword Demon Love Song[]
Razak was a knight during the Demi-Human War. He was an instructor in the army who trained soldiers like Grimm Fauzen and worked them to the point of vomiting. Following the Battle of Redonas Plateau, he was the one who brought Wilhelm to Grimm's new unit. As the war continued, Razak was returned to the frontlines, and later, during the Battle of Aihiya Swamp, he was in charge of one of the armies, his specific unit's responsibilities being to keep up the staring contest with the troops of the Vollachia Empire, much to his dismay, knowing that there was no threat with them thanks to the protection of the Divine Dragon.
Trivia[]
- In the Comic Alive version of Sword Demon Battle Ballad, it was stated that during the Subjugation of the Blight Dragon, Razak protected the citizens of Picoutatte and saved Rickert Hoffman at the cost of his own life. However, this information was cut from the Ex 6 version of the aforementioned story.
- Razak's surname was serialized incorrectly in Sword Demon Battle Ballad: Curtain's Close. His surname was written as Gildarts (ギルダーツ, Girudātsu) instead of Gildark.
- Razak was cut from the Sword Demon Love Song manga.
